Hello Kitty!

The Autum/Winter catalogue dropped onto our doormat earlier this week.  I know we haven’t had summer yet, but orders have to be placed so we’re often thinking about Christmas in July & August. As it is still officially July we don’t want to talk too much about the ‘C’ word but we do want to share these guys with you…

koziol-cats

New for 2015 is this cat inspired range. We love them and think that they’ll be very popular, sitting alongside customer favourites like Mimmi and Miaou we’ll be in kitty heaven!

More news to follow until then have a purr-fect weekend!

Aloha Giovanni

Lets talk eggs! Who doesn’t love a perfectly scrambled egg on toast, a cooked to perfection poached egg perched on asparagus or the humble but you just can’t beat,  dippy egg and toast soldiers. In an effort to achive this perfection Koziol have created a few tools to help us out!

Aloha is an egg cooker that you can lower into the pan, pop in your egg and wait 3 minutes (or however long it takes to make your preffered boiled egg) then simply lift out those eggs without fear of burning hands or dropping eggs.

And there’s a fun version for the kids, meet Buggy! Buggy, like Aloha can also be used in the pan to cook the eggs. There’s a handle with a hooked end that fits over the edge of the pan, then once your egg is cooked Buggy can be transported to the table and used as an egg cup. Practical and fun!

Finally there’s Giovanni. A stand alone egg slicer that can also be used to slice Mozzarella cheese. Pop your peeled boiled egg or ball of Mozzarella cheese into Giovann’s oversized open smiling mouth and then close to reveal a prefectly sliced egg or mozzarella for your salad or sandwiches.

So there you have it! Tools to acheive egg perfection time and time again.

2015 Here we Go!

Happy New Year everyone! After a hectic Christmas and New Year it’s taken us this past week to get back into our stride. It’s a busy, exciting time for us, all the Trade Shows begin this weekend and we get a chance to preview the new designs for 2015! Just after Christmas the Koziol summer selection catalogue landed on our doormat, full of zingy fruity summer colours, with three new colours to look out for coral, ginger yellow and taupe. The coral and taupe mixed together are very reminiscent of sugary sweets and the ginger yellow mixed with turquoise is a real feast for the eyes!

As we don’t have any new products available yet, we thought we could at least share some images of the colour pallete and a little photography of what’s we can look forward too!

5267_HUBERT_583

New for autumn/winter 2014 is Hubert. This stylish stag is a jewellery organiser, his extra large antlers have plenty of space for rings, necklaces, bracelets and bangles and his pre-pierced ears will store a pair of earings. Made from 100% recyclable BPA and melamine free plastic, Hubert looks great even when he’s not draped in jewellery.

It’s Show Time!

September hails the start of a busy month for retailers and suppliers, it’s the month that many of the trade shows start. Designers and suppliers show their products including new collections for the buyers to snap up ready for Christmas. So it’s all hands on deck to set up the stands and then pack up again at the end, hopefully after a busy and successful show.

For us that means all those lovely Autumn/Winter products we gave you a sneaky peek of earlier in the year are now landing in store and available to buy!

Autumn Winter 2014 Snapshot

I know it’s the middle of summer but this is when the Koziol Autumn Winter collection is released, as we all really don’t want to start to think about Christmas and winter just yet I’ve selected a few products so you get an idea of what’s to come.
I’ve chosen two new products to show you and one current product in the winter 2014 colour palette – which is very stylish by the way! So first up is Leaf salad bowl with the integrated servers the ever stylish bowl with new coloured copper & stone servers, how gorgeous is this?!

Next up is a new product, meet Nick! A set of party picks with a tree stand, like Pip but Nick is a squirrel and the other picks are topped with acorns that he’s stashed for winter. Perfect for parties or friend and family gatherings, Nick is great for spearing finger foods, olives and canapés.

The Shadow of Salad

New for spring summer 2014 is this beautiful Shadow salad bowl and servers. Available in two colours, a white bowl with lime green servers or an anthracite bowl with black salad servers, this stylish set is made from 100% recyclable BPA and melamine free plastic and both the bowl and servers are dishwasher safe. The beautiful and unusual design of the bowl allows the servers to slot into the cut-out pattern on the edge of the bowl and it’s all presented in a smart gift box, making it an ideal present.

The distinctive cut-out pattern on the edge of the bowl is carried through to the servers and the whole set has an abstract, natural nature feel to it. Designed by Rodolfo Argella, Shadow is a great addition to the Koziol catalogue, we just can’t decide which colour we like best!

Weekend in Frankfurt

As regular readers will know we went to the Ambiente Trade Fair in Frankfurt last weekend. After a very early start we landed a little bleary eyed at the show a little after midday. This is the biggest trade fair we’ve ever seen, there are 12 halls and each hall has three floors! It’s so big there’s a mini bus that takes people between the halls! We breathe a sigh of relief that we both packed comfortable shoes and set of with map in hand.

Being a German run show everything was laid out perfectly, all similar types of suppliers and stock are kept together, with excellent signage and regular coffee shops or ice cream vendors to break up the journey. With so much to see though there was no time for too many stops, we had a lots of ground to cover! I have to say we’re glad we did, we saw the fabulous new season products and the stands were amazing, of course the Koziol stand was our favourite!

miller

We particularly loved the seaside scape made from Del bins stacked upside down to create lighthouses with Surf bathroom storage rolling in the waves of the sea. Plus how much fun is Miller? The cute little windmill salt or pepper grinder.

At 6.30pm we boarded the Koziol bus to the Glucksfabric (the factory) for the annual party that Stefan and his son Daniel throw for their stockists and reps from all far flung corners of the world. Of course we took another spin through the museum, too good not to! But then settled down to some delicious food and drinks, to enjoy the band & to put faces to the names we email every week.
Three trips to the buffet and 2 glasses of wine later it’s time to get the bus back into Frankfurt. We finally make our way back to the hotel, after missing the tram and fall into bed well after midnight.

Sunday morning, we manage to miss the tram again! Must get a timetable next time! And end up walking to the exhibition, nice to get some fresh air though after being inside all day yesterday. We tackle the halls today that we need to see and didn’t make yesterday before we have to leave for our flight and head home to rest our weary feet.
All in all a very successful trip and well worth the tired feet!

Ambiente Here We Come!

This weekend we’ll be heading off to Frankfurt for the Ambiente trade show. It’s the first time we’ve been and we’re really excited! We can’t wait to see the Koziol Spring/Summer products in the flesh (so to speak) So far we’ve only seen the lovely images in the supplement catalogue. We’ll also have a chance to see the new range of everyday kitchen cookware that Koziol are launching this year, plus the new colour palette, which features tropical fiesta colours alongside Cuban summer, a lovely mix of bold colours from turquoise, lilac, hot pink, red, orange, mustard green and apple green.

So here’s a little sneak preview photograph for you, featuring Cornetto ice cream dish with I-scoop, a free standing ice cream scoop

Tic Toc Toc

With August coming to an end, the start of September signifies the release of the 2013 Autumn/Winter collection. LOTS of new products are heading our way along with new colours of classic designs. One of the most anticipated designs is the new Toc Toc clock, a modern twist on the traditional Cuckoo clock. Toc Toc comes in black or white each featuring a co-ordinating Pip bird which spins at the top of the clock, or for even more fun, choose the one with the cat reaching up to grab the unsuspecting Pip bird.
Either way we just love this fun twist on an old classic!
